Dr. Farhan Contractor has devoted his entire surgical career to hair restoration. Over more than a decade, he has completed over 5,000 hair transplant procedures, and he brings the same rare mix of artistry and surgical precision to each one.

Dr. Contractor trained under some of the most respected surgeons in the field. At Lone Star Hair Transplant, he performs Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) without a robotic system. FUE is the only surgical hair transplant technique offered at the practice. Each plan is shaped around the patient's hair, goals and long-term outlook.

His career has taken him from Texas to New York City, where he served as Medical Director of Keeps Hair Restoration in Midtown Manhattan and led the medical team alongside internationally recognized hair-loss experts Dr. Jerry Shapiro and Dr. Antonella Tosti. Patients have regularly travelled across state lines to have him perform their procedures. With Lone Star Hair Transplant, he brings that experience home to Texas.

Dr. Contractor is best known for his hairline design. He maps each hairline by hand to complement the patient's facial features and to age naturally, because a transplant is permanent and should look right at 40 and at 70. He treats every case as a true collaboration between physician and patient, an approach that has earned him consistent praise as an artist, a calm and reassuring presence in the procedure room, and a doctor who takes the time to educate.

Hairline design

Before any grafts are moved, Dr. Contractor draws your hairline by hand, with you watching. He explains each decision: how low it sits, how it frames your face and how it will look as you age.

Selecting the punch

In FUE he selects and adjusts the punch diameter, depth and tip for each patient, based on hair thickness, curl and angle and the character of the skin. See how punch selection works.

What patients say

I put this off for ten years. Dr. Contractor drew my hairline by hand in front of me and explained every decision. Eight months later, nobody can tell.
Marcus T.
FUE, 2,400 grafts, Dallas
Calm, patient and clearly an artist. He was honest about what was realistic, and the result matched what he described.
David R.
FUE, 1,900 grafts, Plano
My donor area healed so quickly my barber couldn't find it. He explained why he chose a smaller punch for my hair. That attention to detail is why I chose him.
